April, the Palm Sunday and Easter in general are associated with the spring, the bright sun and the relatively high temperature. In 2019 though, this was not the case, due to an unusually elongated winter.

The winter-like weather started spreading since the previous Saturday in the mountains – mostly in Troodos – and the fog, the rain, the hail and the snow moved to lower areas during the night. The result was a Sunday morning covered in snow, which came as a surprise to everyone.
