 “Mavros Chrysos” (Black Gold) Museum and factory, a place that honors the tradition of the carob processing, is located in a renovated stone house in Anoyira village.

This museum, throough  its exhibits, presents the history and the importance of the carobs processing and trade  for the area and Cyprus in general in the old days, and is related to the name "mavros chrysos" (black gold), given to the museum.

At the workshop one can watch live the process of making carob syrup and carob candy, embrace the special scents and enjoy some of the carob products in the traditional way.
