* NOTE: All the tributes of All About Limassol (as the Official Guide of Limassol) aim to ONLY highlight the special aspects of this wonderful city, so that everyone can be aware of the unique Experiences it offers. Under no circumstances do they have any promotional or nominal value, nor do they serve the interests of Companies, Municipalities, Organizations or Individuals.

The Local Archaeological Kourion Museum is located in Episkopi village. It is part of the private house of George McFadden, an archaeologist who led extensive archaeological research at ancient Kourion and its environs from 1934.

After McFadden’s death in 1953, the house was handed over to the Dept of Antiquities. The museum shelters finds from the ancient city of Kourion and the surrounding area.

The skeletal remains of inhabitants of the city, a family of three, who died in the earthquake of 365 A.D, constitute one of the most impressive exhibits of the museum.
